Imports
ProcessingCompletedReferly imports directly from Dub. Create a key in Settings, API Keys, inside the workspace holding the program, run the importer, and partners arrive with their links, rates and join dates. Commission plans are rebuilt by hand. Run both for a few days, then switch. Migration is free on every plan.
Referral codes
Dub is link infrastructure first, so this is usually the first thing anyone asks. The importer maps each partner's link and pulls the referral code out of it, whether the code sits in a query parameter or the last path segment. The code itself survives the move. What changes is the domain, and that is the part no tool can automate: a short link already printed on a conference badge points where it points. Keep Dub running through the overlap, send everyone their new link in one batch, and set up redirects on any domain you control.

Referly's tracking script reads
Plan your move
Dub Partners charges 5% on partner payouts on Business and Advanced, 3% on Enterprise, and caps monthly payouts at $2,500 on Business and $15,000 on Advanced. Both numbers are from their own pricing page. Put your real payout volume in.

Business, automation starts here
At $5,000/mo in payouts, Dub's 5% costs $250 on top of the plan, and the fee has no ceiling.
Dub's payout caps and fees are from dub.co/pricing, checked 2026-08-10: $2,500/mo of payouts on Business, $15,000 on Advanced, 5% fee (3% on Enterprise). Referly's optional managed rail (Referly Payouts) is the one thing that carries a fee of 5% bank or 8% card, and using your own PayPal or Wise costs 0%.

How payouts work here
Referly takes 0% of your sales, your affiliate revenue and your commission volume, on every plan, and there is no cap on how much you pay out in a month. Connect your own PayPal or Wise and using it costs nothing on top. There is exactly one percentage in the product and it is opt-in: Referly Payouts, the managed rail, at 5% for bank transfers and 8% for cards. If you use your own rail you never touch it.
Automated payout batches are on Business and above. Startup pays out manually. Referly's plans do meter on affiliate revenue, at $10,000 a month on Startup and $30,000 on Business, so compare the meter as well as the fee.
Before you start
Dub carries less structure than the affiliate-native tools, which makes this one of the shorter migrations in the set.
Commission plans and reward rules
Rebuilt by hand, as on every migration from every tool. Usually a short job on a Dub program.
Link analytics and click history
This is the real loss on this particular migration, and it is worth naming. Dub's analytics are its core product and none of it is importable. Export what you want to keep before you cancel.
Short links themselves
Referly has its own branded short links on a custom domain, but they are created rather than migrated. A dub.sh link keeps pointing at Dub until Dub stops resolving it.
Partner portal customisation
Rebuilt. Referly's portal takes branding, custom CSS and a custom domain.
Partners and their details
Names, emails, payout emails and status, over the API.
Referral links and codes
The code is extracted from the link, whether it lives in a query parameter or the path.
Per-partner commission rates
Arrive as per-affiliate overrides rather than collapsing to one program rate.
Customers, sales and commissions
With their original dates, so the history you built on Dub is still the history you report on.
Paid payouts
Sales you import can carry their paid status, so nobody is paid twice. The payout records themselves stay behind.
Unpaid commissions
Import them marked unpaid and pay from Referly, or pay them out of Dub first.
Commission plans are rebuilt by hand on every migration, from every tool, including this one. On Dub the bigger thing to plan for is the analytics history, which is theirs and stays theirs.
Step 1
Workspace-scoped, so make it in the workspace that actually holds the partner program.
Dub scopes keys to a workspace. Generate the key in the workspace that holds the partner program you are moving, not a personal one.

In Dub
Settings → API Keys, at app.dub.co/settings/tokens
Copy a workspace API key.

The importer
Generated from the importer itself rather than written by hand, so it is what the product does today.
1. Affiliates
First name · Last name · Email · Join date · Affiliate link
2. Referrals
First name · Last name · Email · Affiliate email · Join date · External user ID
3. Sales
Customer email · Customer name · Affiliate email · Transaction amount · Transaction date · Commission · Paid status
Affiliates first, then referrals, then sales. Referly refuses to run them out of order, because a referral needs its affiliate and a sale needs both.

about two hours, then 3 to 7 days running both tools side by side.
Plan your move
The honest answer to the attribution question is a number, not a paragraph. Set your real attribution window and see how much is still in flight when you switch Dub off.
How long Dub stays switched on after Referly starts tracking.
Referly defaults to 60 days and you can change it. Set this to the longest gap you actually see between a click and a sale.
When you switch Dub off
Most of the window is still open. Cutting over here will lose attribution you care about.
An estimate of shape, not a forecast. Conversions from a click cohort thin out over the window rather than stopping, so the tail shrinks the longer you wait and never quite reaches zero before the window closes. Whatever is left, credit by hand, because manual referral tracking is on every plan.
Customer stories
The founders and affiliate managers behind three fast-growing programs, in their own words.
“Affiliates drive a serious share of our revenue across three countries. Since we moved to Referly everything runs from one place, tracking has been spot on, and our partners get paid without me chasing spreadsheets.”

“We have been running affiliate programs for over a decade, and ours is one of the biggest parts of how OptimizePress grows. Referly is the first platform where an operation with thousands of partners actually feels manageable, from recruiting new affiliates to tracking every sale they send.”

James Dyson
Founder & CEO, OptimizePress
Last step
Export a copy of everything before you press it, and on this migration that means the analytics as well as the partners. Dub's link and event data is the thing you will miss and the thing that does not travel.
Cancel from your Dub workspace billing settings once the overlap has finished and both dashboards agree on attributed sales.
Check what happens to the short links themselves. Anything on a dub.sh domain stops resolving when the workspace goes, and anything on your own domain needs pointing somewhere before it does.
Migration help
Direct import or CSV, Startup or Enterprise, moving costs nothing. Bring your workspace key and a cutover date. If you have short links in the wild on your own domain, bring that list too, because redirects are the part worth planning.
Managed, done-for-you migration is part of Enterprise and the agency plans. For context: Trackdesk includes migration and implementation assistance from its $329 Business plan.
