Letterly turns rambling voice notes into clean writing — a speech-to-text app with 300,000 users and a 4.6-star AppSumo rating. It sells to consumers, not companies, and consumer apps grow through a specific kind of marketer: creators. People with an audience who will genuinely recommend an app they use — if there's something in it for them and a link that provably credits them.

Creator programs die on friction. A creator who has to email someone, wait for approval and get onboarded over a call simply never joins — they post about something else instead. So when Letterly opened its program on Referly, the design goal was blunt: joining has to take minutes, and proof of earnings has to be instant.

Self-serve portal

A creator's first ten minutes decide everything

The program lives at letterly.referly.so. Signup is self-serve — a creator lands, joins, and walks out with a tracked link before their coffee cools. Custom signup questions capture where they publish, so the team knows a TikTok reviewer from a productivity blogger without an interview. That is the entire recruitment machine, and it recruited 691 creators.

A creator's first ten minutes

self-serve · live

A creator lands on letterly.referly.so and joins in about a minute — no email thread, no approval queue for the first step.

Self-serve portal signup

Link + coupon-code tracking

Links where links work, codes where they don't

Creator content splits into two worlds. Blog posts and YouTube descriptions carry clickable links — link tracking handles those, 24,438 clicks generated so far. But a creator saying “use my code” in a spoken video has nothing to click, which is where coupon-code tracking earns its place: the code itself attributes the sale to the creator who said it out loud. Between the two, every format a creator actually uses can be credited — and creators only promote what credits them.

Portal analytics · Payouts

Creators who can see earnings keep posting

Each creator's portal shows their clicks, referrals and commissions in real time — portal analytics as a retention feature, because a creator who watches a commission land after a video makes another video. The other half of retention is rhythm: 50 payouts, $8,483 paid, month after month. Small numbers each, enormous in aggregate trust.

  • 255 sales generated by creatorsattributed automatically across links and codes.

  • Real-time creator dashboardsclicks and commissions visible the moment they happen.

  • A monthly payout habit50 runs and counting — the program's credibility, paid on schedule.

The results

A creator flywheel, running

The pattern Letterly proves: affiliate software isn't just for B2B SaaS. Point it at creators with a self-serve door, credit every format they publish in, pay on rhythm — and a consumer app gets a compounding channel.

This platform is quite simple and easy to use, and you can start attracting people to your affiliate program very quickly. A big plus is that the founder, Ayo, is super responsive.

  • Letterly's program is the proof: 691 creators generating 24,438 clicks and 255 sales for a mobile-first writing app. The mechanics differ from B2B — creators instead of publishers, codes alongside links — but the channel compounds the same way.
