Net 30 payout
Approved today. Paid in thirty.
Net 30 means a commission is paid 30 days after it is approved. The delay is deliberate: it gives refunds, chargebacks and cancellations time to surface before money leaves the account. Affiliate programs commonly publish Net 15, Net 30 or Net 60 terms and hold each commission for that period before it becomes payable.
- Terms run Net 0 to Net 60
- Holding periods absorb refunds
- Minimums batch the small balances
What Net 30 means for affiliate payouts
The clock starts at approval, not at the sale. Three settings together decide what a partner actually experiences.
The term
How long after approval the commission becomes payable. Net 30 means thirty days.
The minimum
Balances below it wait for more sales instead of the calendar. $50 is a common floor.
The schedule
Daily, weekly or monthly runs decide which batch an eligible commission lands in.
Why programs hold commissions
Because a sale is not final on the day it happens, and recovering money from a partner you already paid is a conversation nobody wins.
Refunds land inside a window
Hold slightly longer than your refund window and most reversals cost nothing.
Subscriptions cancel early
First-week cancellations are the most common reversal of all.
Chargebacks arrive late
In Referly the Holding Period is a number of days on the program. Money that has not left is easy to take back.

In Referly
Held, then eligible, then paid
The holding period, the minimum and the schedule run the whole pipeline. A commission moves to eligible on its own and goes out on the next run.
Net 30 against the other payout terms
A straight trade between your risk and your partners' patience. Whatever you choose, publish it: affiliates ask about payment speed before they ask about the rate.

I was looking to build an online portal for affiliates to track their sales and Referly saved me so much work! There's so many amazing extra features like custom domains and fully customisable affiliate rates. Additionally, the API allowed us to integrate this directly into our app turning each of our users into affiliates!
