Affiliate status (Ban/Deactivated)
You can now ban or deactivate affiliates directly from your program.
Sometimes an affiliate breaks your terms. Other times you just need to pause access for a while — a partner going quiet for a season, a compliance review in progress, a dispute you want frozen rather than escalated. One hammer for both jobs was never right, so now you have two tools:
- Ban: Permanently remove an affiliate. They can't rejoin the program.
- Deactivate: Temporarily disable an affiliate. You can reactivate them whenever you're ready — their history stays intact.
The distinction protects you in both directions: bans keep bad actors from cycling back in through a new application, while deactivation means a temporary pause doesn't torch a relationship (or its data) permanently.
Each status shows the affiliate a clear message in their portal, so they know exactly where they stand — no ghosting, no confused support emails asking why their login stopped working.
Both actions live on the affiliate's profile, and both statuses appear in the affiliates table and filters alongside Active and Onboarding.
